I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a practicing Catholic in the Diocese of Dallas. Most of my current clients are Catholics who want their faith respected in counseling. They want someone who realizes the importance of Catholic teaching as a way of life. I will always respect the teachings of Christ and his church in our counseling sessions.
I am very honored to have worked with so many people over the years. For someone to come into my office and present me with the honor of sharing their story and trusting in me to help them find perspective, is humbling.
I named my practice Epiphany Counseling because an epiphany is a pinnacle moment in counseling. If you feel stuck, if you feel like there are no other options, if you just need some clarity, counseling can help provide a sense of hope and purpose.
I found a cup at the store years ago that I keep in my office that says "Half Empty or Half Full". I think this is a very Catholic way of thinking. Why? We are not always in control of the situation we are presented in life through our marriages, jobs, kids, or even sickness and death. We are always in control of our choices and attitudes. St Maximillian Kolbe was a great example of this reality. He had few choices while being imprisoned in the concentration camp but he made the best of what few he had and his attitude in everything he did. It is how he lived his faith.
Don’t be imprisoned in your life. Allow me to help you so that you may live your life and your faith more joyfully.
