Through over three decades of study in Psychology and Theology, I have come to a deep appreciation of both traditions and disciplines. In the philosophical tradition of St Thomas Aquinas, I see no need to divorce faith from reason. Of greater concern to me than the particular symptoms and pathologies an individual, couples or family might present with, is the very nature of who they are as ones created by a grace-giving God.
My clinical practice over the past 35 years has focused heavily on the study and treatment of Mood Disorders, including Adjustment Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, and Anxiety-Related Disorders. I also utilize Object Relations Theory in conjunction with Internal Family Systems Theory and provide counseling for many other issues.
I draw upon both the intrinsic and interpersonal models in my effort to assist clients in achieving a high level of self-awareness and self-leadership, all the while integrating their faith tradition in the most empowering way possible. My passion is to help people in need as effectively as possible.
