I am a Catholic therapist experienced in working with both individuals and couples, with a passion for helping all of my clients confront the past in order to move into the future with confidence. My approach is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Family Systems, and Internal Family Systems. I am comfortable working with a variety of mental health challenge and have a special heart for trauma.
As a cradle Catholic with a degree in theology, I am knowledgeable in the church's teachings and have a good foundation in the church's charismatic and intellectual sides. In my practice, I am ready to work with anyone, no matter where they feel they are in their Catholic faith, and I also welcome those of any faith tradition.
My work as a counselor is inspired by Jesus’ way of seeing people in the Gospels - always meeting the person wherever they are, seeing their potential, and inviting them to grow into their God-given identity. In following Jesus’s example, I to meet every client where they are at and help them grow into the person they were created to be.
I currently practice at The Upper Room Professional Counseling Services in Plymouth, MI. Upper Room is a Catholic practice dedicated to the hope and healing of clients and their families.
