She has significant experience treating children and adults who have experienced child sexual abuse, as well as other traumatic events including: traumatic grief and loss, witness to violent crimes, family violence, illness and natural disasters. She works with professional caregivers experiencing vicarious trauma in their daily workplace and has significant experience working with high conflict families struggling with parenting and building connections and healthy communication. Suzanne also works with all ages experiencing depression, anxiety and life transitions that are complicated and stressful.

Suzanne is trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CFTSI (Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention), EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), AF-CBT (Alternatives for Families Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Triple P Parenting (both for children and for teens), and evidenced informed art therapy interventions. Prior to joining In HIs Image Counseling, Suzanne provided therapy, advocacy, training/education and supervision in a variety of community settings including within Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC’s), intensive in-home therapy programs, hospitals and outpatient facilities.

Suzanne is excited to be a clinician at In His Image Counseling Center to reach more adults, youth and families of faith and help them discover their God-given dignity, value and worth.

In His Image Counseling Center, PLLC provides evidence-based mental health treatment centered in a Catholic understanding of the human person. Our team of clinicians desire to help individuals reclaim their sense of goodness and dignity as beloved children of God. Our goal is to bring Christ’s healing and peace to suffering hearts and minds through excellence in psychotherapy.

In His Image Counseling Center offers individual, marital and family therapy from a systemic perspective. Our theoretical model is based on the Christian anthropology of St. Thomas Aquinas, which provides us with an understanding of the nature of the human person.

The words of St. Mother Teresa inspire the clinicians at In His Image Counseling Center:
“We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.”
