Message from Therapist

I help individuals and couples breakthrough childhood trauma that keeps them stuck. Is anxiety, fear, panic, and unhealed experiences from your past continuing to rule your life? Do you have trouble taking care of your whole self (mind, body, spirit)? Overcoming addictive behaviors? Asking for you what you need in relationships? Knowing and aligning with your vocation? You are not crazy. Your nervous system is locked in chronic fight-flight-freeze patterns that keep you shut off from a thriving life, and your full vitality. I can help.

I have specialized in-depth training in somatic-based trauma resolution. I have 20 years of training in meditation, prayer, and embodiment practices. Through somatic experiencing (SE), present-moment focus, and spiritually-centered therapy, I help my clients renegotiate painful agreements about life and get to the root cause of symptoms.

My style is truly holistic and individualized. Take the steps you need now to ditch the overwhelm and toxic stress. My sessions are an invitation to be present, heal from the past, and increase clarity on God's will for your life. It is time to create the life and relationships you truly desire. Call me today to schedule your free 15-minute initial call. I look forward to connecting with you!

Practice Info

Bio:
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in San Diego. I am passionate about helping powerful women and couples breakthrough childhood trauma that keeps them stuck.

My passion for mind-body healing began after becoming a certified Holistic Health Counselor focusing on womens hormonal health through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2007. After several years of running a private health coaching practice, I soon realized there was much more to healing than having information. I wanted to better grasp the roots of psychological distress and motivations for change. In 2010, I graduated with a degree in Contemplative Psychology through Naropa University. During my undergraduate, my thesis explored the psychological benefits of prayer and meditation for healing early attachment trauma. I hold a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and completed the 3-year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner certification through the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. During my M.A., I focused on mind-body approaches for adult children of addicts and alcoholics.

Through somatic experiencing (SE), present-moment focus, and spiritually-centered therapy, I help my clients renegotiate painful agreements about life and get to the root cause of symptoms.

I am also a wife, homeschool mother, and currently reside in San Diego with four generations of family living close by. When not with clients, you will find me power walking, dancing, going to stand-up comedy shows, traveling, and trying new recipes. My family regularly attends Catholic mass, and we are passionate about living creative, intentional, playful, and mindful lives.
