As a licensed professional counselor in Illinois and Colorado, I have many telehealth clients and provide in-person sessions in Parker, Colorado.
I bring a rich background in working with individuals and families in crisis as a critical care nurse and a mother of several children. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents. My practice includes adult individuals who want to address their depression, anxiety, grief, and self-esteem, as well as couples and families, to strengthen marriages and develop healthy family environments.
My therapeutic approaches are CBT, EMDR, Attachment Therapy, Forgiveness Therapy, The Gottman Method, Emotion Focused, and Client Centered.
Life is full of transitions and often challenges us to adapt and change. I can help by creating a safe environment that promotes healing and growth through life changes. I do this by being attentive, supportive, challenging, and compassionate while embracing the losses and struggles that our lives bring. The short-term goal of therapy is symptom reduction, while the long-term goal is transformation.
I work with those interested in strengthening their relationships or moving past their hurts and traumas into a healthier way of living. I like to help my clients understand self-care and learn the imperative to care for the self - so they can fully care for others.
As a Pastoral Counselor, I can include a client’s unique spirituality in a plan for psychological wholeness and healing while creating a warm and supportive environment.
