Dr. Kenneth I. Pargament notes that "While over 90% of the U.S. population reports belief in a personal God, only 24% of clinical and counseling psychologists do so." Through my private practice, A Place for Human Flourishing, I use Positive Psychology because its principals are similar to Catholic virtues. I combine that with other methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because I have over 30 years of forensic experience and I appreciate the value of evidenced-based approaches to common sufferings such as depression and anxiety. Ultimately, I trust that a person's faith is the greatest healer and I am pleased to be an instrument to allow faith and reason to help a person overcome many of life's difficulties.

I started my private practice, A Place for Human Flourishing LLC, as an extension of working with police officers and first responders for a large metropolitan police department. While working within the government and the court system, the priority was mostly bringing clients to their previous level of functioning. In my private practice, I strive to take my clients beyond the everyday functioning of the secular environment and assist them as they persevere through trials and tribulations and go on to lead flourishing lives.
