People seek counseling for different reasons. Some are working on managing symptoms such as depression or anxiety. Some people seek counseling because they are struggling with a transition or difficult situation and are seeking objectivity and help sorting out their thoughts and feelings. While others seek counseling in order to improve their quality of life, whether through improving relationships, work, setting boundaries, establishing goals, parenting skills, improving self-esteem or increasing focus and motivation.
Counseling is a collaborative process: I will work closely with you, and by working together, progress and recovery can be achieved.
