I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at In His Image Counseling Center, PLLC in Irving, TX, where I offer individual, marital, and family therapy from a systemic perspective. Our theoretical model is based on the Christian anthropology of St. Thomas Aquinas, which provides us with an understanding of the nature of the human person.
No matter who we are, our relationships influence and mold our experience of life. We all have a desire to create and maintain deep connections to our families, spouse, children, and friends that help sustain us during our challenges and storms and lift us higher during the joys and peaks. For most of us, though, that process is difficult and not without pitfalls. As a marriage and family therapist, I keep in mind the importance of relationships and how they affect and shape all of us. This knowledge allows me to walk alongside and guide my clients in their journeys towards wholeness of self in mind, body, and spirit, and wholeness of their relationships.
In my work, I focus on strengths to promote healing with all of my clients. I utilize the well-researched Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) model in my work with couples to identify and resolve negative patterns of interaction and create deeper trust and love. I enjoy working with children and adolescents in the context of family therapy to resolve concerns and enhance family relationships and parental confidence. I also enjoy working with individual young adults and adults to address emotional health, trauma, and relational issues.
My aim is to be transparent and worthy of each of my client’s trust in achieving together the important work of healing and growth.
