I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to healing broken hearts and restoring the image of God in the human person. I have over 10 years of experience. I provide adult, marriage and family therapy. I specialize in working with women of all ages.
I also provide counseling via Telehealth for clients in the state of Texas.
My belief is that our souls are like beautiful vases intended to receive, contain, and pour forth God’s everlasting love and grace. But we do not live in a perfect world and our vases have deep cracks where we have been wounded either by others or our own sinfulness. We must first repair the cracks in our foundation in order to more fully receive all the love and grace God wants to lavish upon us. This is where professional Christian counseling can be helpful. Counseling works to repair these cracks in our nature so that grace can build on nature and we can have “life and live it to the full” (John 10:10).
Unlike some therapies that only focus on diagnosis and alleviation of symptoms, I look at each person as a whole, not the sum of his or her symptoms. This unique approach allows me to quickly identify the underlying root cause of a person's suffering and then work to help them receive the healing necessary to transform their greatest suffering into their greatest joy. God wants to heal His children and He wants to heal you. Do you want to be healed?
I approach counseling as a collaborative process and employ the use of Cognitive Behavioral, Schema and Relational Therapy, among others. I have received additional training at the Love and Logic Institute in Colorado Springs, CO., Theology of the Body Institute in Philadelphia, PA, and the John Paul II Healing Center in Tallahassee, Florida.
I also specialize in working with women of all ages. The feminine heart is a priceless treasure - the prize of God's Kingdom. Vulnerability, receptivity, and nurturing love make a woman's heart beautiful. However, these can give rise to the experience of deep hurt, even from an early age. Come discover the road of healing restoration and formation, so that each one "may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).
