Message from Therapist

I became a therapist from a calling to listen and advocate for our Catholic children, adolescents, and young adults who were going through different mental health imbalances, spiritual dryness, and lack of emotional connection etc. with their parents. Over the years, I realized that entire families were experiencing the same or worse, a desperate need for internal/external connection, a functional life that would allow them to feel a sense of self-fulfillment.

I am passionate about the counseling profession and enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, I work in groups or with couples and provide family counseling.

More About Jenny Bahena, MEd, LPC-Associate

Gratia Plena Counseling

Jenny Bahena works as a staff counselor with Gratia Plena Counseling.

“GRATIA PLENA” is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization which opened in 2012 to provide services in a unique manner to overcome barriers to treatment. Our Mission is to provide mental and spiritual health services for mental illnesses, addictions, and marriage/family problems and the spiritual distress that usually accompanies them…in a manner that is faithful to the teachings, values, and traditions of the Catholic Church. We believe that mental and spiritual health are closely connected, and that the healing of the human person occurs through integration for deep transformation and flourishing. You do not have to be a 'practicing' Catholic to benefit from the services of a Gratia Plena Counseling staff therapist.

This organization has survived and thrived through God's grace, the hard work of our all-Catholic staff team, and the kind donations of individuals, parishes, and private foundations.
