If you are trying to cope with unresolved trauma or life challenges (or help someone who is), I can help! I began my practice, Core Counseling, to introduce therapies that empower clients to confront negative experiences and transform them into sources of hope, courage, confidence and freedom. Through compassionate analysis and evidence-based solutions, I provide therapies to my Catholic clients that integrate their Catholic faith beliefs with sound clinical practice to strengthen each individual's core identity and provide long-term health benefits.
I offer assessments, individual, couples, family and aftercare counseling. I utilize a variety of evidenced base techniques to include CBT, DBT, EMDR, EFT, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Therapy.
Many people feel skeptical, scared and frightened when considering therapy for the first time. I take this into consideration when meeting for the first time. I provide a confidential and relaxed environment for introduction and healing to begin. I am committed to helping individuals and couples feel safe as they begin their journey.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working with adolescents (from tween to teenage years), adults and families struggling with transition, unresolved trauma, or battling with the disease of addiction and mental health disorders. I received my education from the Divine Mercy University, where I completed a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and later completed additional training through Webster University in South Carolina, as well as the Maryland University of Integrative Health.
My focus is on assisting my clients in identifying their strengths, gaining insight, building confidence and acquiring the cognitive and behavioral skills to facilitate growth and overall well being.
At Core Counseling, we believe that there is an inherent goodness in each and every person. We're all born with a beautiful inner being, which is continually weakened or strengthened through our life experiences. Uncovering the truth of who we are can renew and revive our "core" identity.
