Welcome to St. Cupertino Counseling!

I am a mother of 4 children and married to a wonderful husband for over 35 years. Inspired by the love of Christ, I feel called as a Psychotherapist to journey with my clients as they achieve the wellness they seek. 

My main modalities are the Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) approach, DNMS, EMDR and Parts work. I offer Trauma Informed Care and have experience working with various cultural backgrounds and languages (Spanish, Portuguese, English).

I use my Catholic faith to integrate different therapies. I believe faith in God is the most powerful strength that helps the healing process. 

Seeing my clients transform into their best self along this journey gives me great joy.

Bio:
I have experience working with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, life transitions, pregnancy loss/abortion with an emphasis in trauma. I have seen that the client's who use their faith in the healing process tend to not only attain the healing they desire, but also grow in their journey towards God. I rely on prayer and the Sacraments, as well as being current in my trainings to help my clients become who they are meant to be.

Welcome to St. Cupertino Counseling!

I know that it is not easy to open up to a stranger about personal struggles, so I commend you for taking the steps to start the process. I want you to know that I will do my best to help you in this journey. I go to daily Mass to ask God for all my clients, and God always hears our pleas. 

I opened my practice, because I felt a call to openly use my Catholic faith in the healing process with those who are Catholic. I realize that there is a great need for people to find therapists who understand their Christian upbringing and affirm their belief system. This way, I am able to help my clients grow not only in the person they want to become and achieve the happiness they are meant to live, but work towards eternal life. Clients learn that the greater power is in relying on Christ for their healing and happiness, and our work is centered in that.

For those who are Christians but not Catholic, I use their Christian background to help us in session. If a client is not Christian, I respect their religion or the lack off, and rely on my professional training for intervention.
