The right place for Catholic women to process hurt and pain

You may be feeling like you are alone. No one understands why you are conflicted between what your faith and society tell you what is best. You don’t want to minimize how significant your walk with God is to and what you are going through.

You want to move past the hurt and confusion but instead you feel:

● Misunderstood
● Scared of the unknown
● Overcome with sadness and longing of what life was like
● Feeling like everything is moving forward while you are at a standstill
● Feeling like you can’t communicate with loved ones
● Sad and angry of the hurt you experienced
● Wondering how long you have to feel this way

You may be finding yourself short or easily frustrated with your spouse, children, family, co-workers, difficulty focusing at home or work, crying more than usual and feeling sad/lonely.

Life doesn’t have to stay this way.

I am a Catholic therapist who has experienced hurt and pain in different areas in my life. I believe that a client centered/narrative approach allows you to freely share your experience. You don’t have to continue to feel overwhelmed, and you don’t have to do it alone.

My name is Elisabeth. I am a wife and mother of two. I have experienced traumatic events such as having my first born being a premature baby. I have also experienced grief – from grandparents, great grandparents, aunts/uncles and my biggest loss – my mother. With each of these losses, I have seen how it impacts the family structure and dynamics. Each experience and role I am in, shapes who I am and my journey as a wife, mother, friend and therapist.

More About Elisabeth Zaragoza, MS, LPC

My family has a very strong Catholic faith for many generations.  I saw the strength it provided for my great grandmother, grandmother and my mom.  My mom instilled a strong faith and I continue to grow in my faith.  I work very hard to instill those same qualities and beliefs in my children.  In therapy, I believe that with the guidance of Our Lord and Our Lady, we can work together to help you through what you are experiencing.

I am inspired by several Catholic podcasts and priests.  I gain insight when I listen to Father Chad Ripperger and I am presently reading his book Introduction to the Science of Mental Health.

I obtained my Masters in Counseling at Out Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. I am a Certified Grief Educator (trained by David Kessler) and specialize in Grief Counseling.  I have an online practice in order to be able to reach and help more people in Texas.  Contact me to schedule a free consultation.
