Message from Therapist

As a Catholic Therapist, my faith is constantly integrated into my work in my practice. I strive to respect the faith background and beliefs of my clients while also adhering to my own Catholic Church’s teachings. Some issues I address in counseling sessions include: depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, trauma, domestic violence, divorce/separation, parenting skills, social skills, grief/loss, educational challenges, and general family dynamics.  If you have an issue that is not listed here, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to discuss with you whether I would be able to work with you or refer you to another therapist with more expertise in that area.

I am licensed and a provider of therapy and counseling by telehealth sessions from a faith-based perspective for those who reside in Missouri, Kansas, Florida, and Tennessee.

More About Elena Switzer, LCSW

I am passionate about helping individuals and families from a strengths-based approach, as well as a faith-based approach when clients are open to doing so. I believe that all clients have a set of strengths and virtues from which to draw.  Rather than focusing only on a client’s problems, I will highlight and augment the client's strengths to help address his/her concerns. I consider the client-therapist relationship as a collaboration among God, the professional, and the client, rather than "fixing" individual and family problems.
