Hello, my name is Dr. Stephanie de la Houssaye, PsyD, LPC-S, NCC. I am a Catholic Christian Counselor and Brain Health Directed Licensed Professional Counselor.
My treatment approach includes giving good guidance in being cooperative with the Holy Spirit, being sensitive to the client and circumstances, and being disciplined not to get in the way so that God can work with His people. I am careful not to problem-solve, give advice, and make decisions for the client I am counseling. The goal is to foster freedom and maturity.
I have been trained in the Amen Clinic's Method. The Amen Clinic’s Method provides insights into the various brain system issues that may be present. I use these tools simply as educational resources to help my clients understand the biological component of their behavior better and, at the same time, inform me so that I can guide them on a path to achieve their goals in a more targeted manner.
I am a Catholic Christian and Brain Directed Therapist with over twenty years of experience. My treatment protocol is to meet each client where they are in their life journey. As a therapist, I do not give advice or place my values on my clients; instead, I aim to help each client heal their mind, body, and soul to become their best version. I am here to help each one of my clients. The therapist must be a good fit for a client because building rapport is the key to successful therapy.
