My name is Delanie Miller, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and devout Catholic in the Jacksonville community. I had felt the Lord calling me to serve his people in a new dimension, and decided to open my own private practice that will allow me to incorporate my Catholic faith in my therapeutic work with clients.
While I utilize evidence-based practices, I am passionate about bringing the spiritual life and faith into the healing process. Similar to many Catholics, I experienced a re-version/conversion after pursuing many secular forms of healing and finding that there always seemed to be a missing piece. In re-connecting with God and my faith, I found the wellspring of healing that had been missing in my pursuits with purely secular means. My calling is to bring this same combination of faith and reason to the clients I have the privilege to serve.
I specialize in working with adults; and families.
My previous work experience involves treating clients with trauma, family dysfunction, anxiety, depression, attachment issues, and behavioral problems. Most recently, I worked with children and teens in the therapeutic foster care community. Throughout my time with this population, I lamented my inability to incorporate my faith in my work with these clients. My mission through my private practice is to serve those in the Catholic community that are seeking support, guidance, and healing.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and devout Catholic. I began my private practice, Therapy Full of Grace to fulfill my dream to incorporate professional therapeutic techinques with Catholic faith-based counseling. While I utilize evidence-based practices such as CBT, TF-CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic, and other therapies, I am passionate about bringing the spiritual life, and faith into the healing process.
I have found that the Catholic Church offers much wisdom and perspective when it comes to our mental health and healing. While growing up I suffered with my own wounds, and issues related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. This later influenced my choice of profession, and my relationship with God. In many ways, I sought to become the voice of healing I wish I had when I was young. Today, the same could also be said for my decision to identify as a Catholic therapist. It was only after searching for my own Catholic therapist, and finding so few options that the idea for my practice began to take shape. Although, I am passionate about my faith and combining it in practice, my goal is to allow the client to dictate where they are in the spiritual and emotional journey. The most successful therapy takes place when clients are able to be vulnerable, and express their needs honestly in treatment. I always seek to create a safe environment that leads to a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients.
My background involves working with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of issues, such as trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral problems and family issues. Most recently, I worked with children and teens in the therapeutic foster care community, primarily with attachment issues, trauma, and self-injurious behaviors.
I specialize in working with pre-adolescents, adolescents and young adults; however, I also work with children, adults and families.
Most of those that come for counseling are seeking assistance because there is a problem or something is just not right in their lives. Everyone is looking to develop a life that involves purpose, balance, and a sense of fulfillment. Therapy has the power to assist not only the individual, but to improve relationships with God, family and friends. My mission is to serve those in the Catholic community that are seeking support, guidance, and healing.
