As a husband and a father of six children, and an ordained permanent deacon in the Catholic Church, I believe spirituality overlays everything. However, with that being said, I pride myself in meeting my clients “where they are” and developing a trusting relationship which allows for a comfortable setting to dig deeper in discussing issues, events, experiences, and memories for the purpose of creating positive change and living life more fully.
I chose to name my therapeutic endeavor “This is the Day Therapy” based on Psalm 118:24 … “This is the day the Lord has made; Let us rejoice in it and be glad.” because I truly believe, from the depth of my heart, that every day can be a great day, even in the midst of pain, suffering, and turmoil. This is the day to make a change!

Over the years, I have worked with the marginalized, those suffering with addiction, those suffering with grief, and couples experiencing problems in their relationship. In the past I was the Ministry Operations Manager at a Local Pregnancy Resource Center. I have a heart for those who are in pain and are struggling to ease that pain and live life more fully. By providing an opportunity to better understand yourself and dig deeper into the problems or difficulties you may be experiencing, I will work with you in a joint effort to address particular problems and issues, recognizing that the benefits which may be received will require effort on your part, including an active participation in the therapeutic process, honesty, and a willingness to change feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) has two main aspects. The cognitive part works to develop helpful beliefs about your life. The behavioral side helps you learn to take healthier actions. CBT often works well for depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder, but it can also be used for other various conditions.
Family therapy helps family members communicate, handle conflicts and solve problems better. Forms of family therapy often are used for treating eating disorders and bipolar disorder.
Psychodynamic therapy helps people develop a better understanding about their unconscious emotions and motivations that can affect their thoughts and actions.
Psychoeducation helps people understand mental health conditions and ways to promote recovery.
