Entering into the right therapeutic relationship is the first step toward healing and change. Creating a safe environment for this relationship to develop is something that I take to heart and see as a key component to effective therapy. Working collaboratively we will explore the origins of any problems or pain you have be struggling with, at a pace that is safe and comfortable for you as the client. As mental and emotional material is explored, the ability to experience greater freedom and enjoyment in your relationships, work, and family life is to be found within you.
Using the therapeutic relationship as the core focus of therapy, you as the client, will be able to experience more parts of yourself. Not only will this lead to greater insight into your current struggles, but it will also create new emotional experiences that are at the heart of change.
I enjoy providing psychotherapy for adults, young adults, couples, and families. Thank you for taking the time to read about how I like to work, and if you feel like we might be a possible therapeutic fit, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
The main focus of my work is centered around providing psychotherapy for adults, young adults, teens (and their parents), and working with couples. At times I do work with children younger than teenage years, but I take this on a case by case basis. Another area that I specialize in is working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, and even complex trauma, related to mental/emotional abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect.
