Life so often gets in the way of us being who we really want to be, especially with the amount of distractions and chaos that we face today. I also believe that we all have the ability to overcome those distractions and live life to the fullest. Sometimes those distractions are big things like psychological issues or medical diagnoses, going through divorce, or other big life events that steal our energy and focus. Sometimes they are less dramatic but effect us greatly, like moving, changing jobs, or having anxiety or feeling overwhelmed. My focus in counseling is learning who you are, what your goals are, and how I can best help you achieve them.
I will help you discover yourself, find what is blocking you from being who you want to be, and work together with you to get past it. I will use appropriate counseling techniques to help you reach your goals. I apply techniques that are tailored to each client because everyone has different blocks and distractions that could use individual help.
If you find yourself resonating with any of this, please come see me. Let me work with you to find a way out of the chaos and into a simpler, more focused lifestyle that will aid you in being the person you want to be.
I work with a variety of clients. I focus on using tried and true counseling techniques like CBT, DBT and trauma-informed therapy. I have experience working with adolescents on a variety of issues, including from a trauma-informed perspective. The teachings of the Catholic Church inform my practice, though I welcome people of any faith and those who are struggling with faith. I will never push my faith on you, though I will encourage you to weigh your options and choose what will be the most beneficial way forward for you.
I work at Catholic Family Services and provide in-person sessions during the week, but would be willing to schedule sessions on Friday or Saturday mornings by virtual Teletherapy to accommodate your schedule.
Please get in touch and let's find out if I am a good fit for your counseling needs.
