After having raised and homeschooled seven children, I began working in the field of my training, Social Work. I have been a practicing Mental Health Therapist for several years with a wide range of clientele with varied symptoms and disorders. I believe that the mind, body, intellect and spirit cannot be separated and seek to treat the whole person with various means of therapeutic modalities. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilize this in many cases. I also employ other modalities such as CBT/DBT, Mindfulness, Cognitive restructuring and reframing, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative therapy, Guided imagery, Self-hypnosis and Meditation.
Our spirits are inextricably connected to the rest of our psyche and body and therefore I encourage inviting the power of God into the therapy session wherever and whenever desired. The richness of the healing power of the Holy Spirit is frequently forgotten or overlooked in our Catholic faith. My desire is to call upon the light of truth and partner with the Holy Spirit in the therapeutic journey of each client who desires it, bringing a profound experience of joy and peace to those who suffer.
