I am a dedicated counselor with a passion for working with individuals, couples, and families. I have developed a holistic approach that integrates various therapeutic techniques, primarily influenced by CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My practice is deeply rooted in my Catholic faith, which serves as a guiding principle in both my personal life and professional practice.
Personal Experience:
As a wife of 25 years and a mother of 7, I understand firsthand the complexities of family dynamics, the joys, hardships, and the inevitable ups and downs that come with it. These personal experiences have shaped my empathy and insight into the challenges my clients face.
Therapeutic Approach:
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client. Whether you are seeking support as an individual, a couple, or a family, my goal is to walk alongside you in your journey towards healing and growth.
Integration of Faith:
Being Catholic is central to all aspects of my life. However, it wasn't always this way. Not only are we all on a journey, but we are at different places on that journey. I have a deep respect for each individual and where they find themselves spiritually. I am honored to walk with you wherever you are at.
Mission:
It is my sincere intention to support you in navigating life’s challenges, fostering healing, and empowering you to achieve personal and relational fulfillment. Together, we can work towards building resilience and finding meaning in your experiences.
I enjoy working with people in many different capacities, from individuals, to couples, to families. My training consists of a strong background in working with family systems, of which we are all a part. I see people as individuals who are a part of a larger system and who have an effect on, and are affected by this system. We do not exist on our own, but in connection with others. It is with this in mind that I walk along side my clients as they explore their experiences in relationship with others and how they can make meaning of these experiences, find healing, and learn new ways of taking control of what has controlled them for so long.
