Life experience teaches us that many things can interfere with our flourishing here on earth as we make our way to heaven. I can help you find the way to live the abundant life that God intended for you to experience. We often forget that we are God's precious children. His love for us is unconditional and limitless. I try to bring these truths to our attention as we work through difficulties and events that interfere with our happiness and growth. 

I am passionate about making dating, family, and marriage relationships work and use Emotionally Focused Therapy and Relationship Enhancement Therapy, which are evidence-based therapies for marriage and family. Parenting skills and Filial therapy are also among my specialties.

I am available to work with parents of Gender questioning teens and their children as well as de-transitioners of any age.

I am also a certified instructor in the PICK a PARTNER (Van Epp) educational program to make better dating/marriage choices.

I use a HIPPA compliant video chat platform for Teletherapy, but prefer to work with people in-person.

I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families on a variety of issues that includes Rapid Resolution of Trauma, PTSD, post abortion syndrome, childbearing loss, Post Partum depression, adjustment to birthing children, unwanted SSA, depression, and anxiety as specialties.

Barbara Currano has a Master Degree in counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who enjoys integrating faith with counseling. She works with couples, families, parents, and individuals of all ages. She specializes in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and Family and also uses Relationship Enhancement Therapy to improve relationships in the family, especially between couples and between parents and teens. She is experienced in using Filial Family Therapy with parents and young children. She is a certified Grief counselor, certified Trauma Counselor, certified Rapid Resolution Therapist, and trained in EMDR.

She has been married for 50 years and raised a large family. Marriage and family relationships are very important to her. She has been a devout Catholic all her life, and her faith is integral to everything she does.
