I help couples learn new ways of relating to each other and communicating in positive effective ways. I offer them the support and tools they need to cultivate intimacy and create a loving and fulfilling relationship. I work especially with individuals and couples who are struggling with or want to heal from the traumatic effects of infidelity, emotional affairs, pornography, sexual compulsivity and love addiction, as well as various other issues that impact relationships.

My strong background in Catholic theology, spirituality, and pastoral counseling, as well as my extensive experience in working with clergy, religious, and Catholic individuals and couples enable me to integrate effectively faith and spirituality into my therapy work--the Scriptures and our Catholic faith offer a wealth of insights and resources that are transformative to our life and conducive to inner healing, personal growth, and positive relationship change.

Bio:
Dr. Andre Estephan, Ed.D, is a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), with over 20 years of experience working as a psychotherapist, a marriage and relationship counselor, and a group therapist. He is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT). He works particularly with individuals and couples dealing with issues related to infidelity, betrayal trauma, pornography addiction, sexual compulsivity, communication problems, men's issues, sexual relationship issues, childhood trauma and its ensuing effects on the person's life and relationships, and various other difficulties and challenges that face our life, our relationships, and our walk with Christ.

Dr. Estephan was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and program director of Shalom Center, a residential treatment program for Catholic priests and consecrated religious. He has conducted couples retreats and training seminars for various groups throughout his career. Dr. Estephan feels privileged to have helped many individuals and couples in their personal and relationship problems, tailoring treatment to the unique needs and goals of each client.

Education:
Dr. Estephan has earned a Bachelor degree in Catholic Theology and Religious Pedagogy at the University of Strasbourg, France in 1990, a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University in 1998 and a Doctorate degree in Counselor Education, from Texas Southern University in 2005.
