Message from Therapist

Hello and God Bless!

I work with individual adults and married couples.  Due to licensing laws, I only see those who reside in the state of Nebraska or who are physically in the state of Nebraska during session.  I see clients of any faith or no faith, but I especially enjoy accompanying those who hold their Catholic Christian faith as their primary source of guidance. I view each person as a unique individual comprised of body, mind, and spirit. You can expect from me a caring, supportive, and non-judgmental professional relationship where your faith and values are respected. I encourage both acceptance and change through a practice of courage and patience with self and others.

Practice Info

Bio:
I have over 25 years of experience as a mental health and addictions therapist. I work with a wide spectrum of issues, including depression, anxiety, stress management, addictions, anger management, and also marriage and relationship issues. I have worked extensively with substance abuse and dependency, codependency, and 12-step programs and principles.

I use principles of behavior change, cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapies, and family systems / communication. I also incorporate Christian meditation practices such as mindfulness that is consistent with prayer, calming skills, and Christian affirmations. I especially enjoy working to enhance marriage, spirituality, and personal growth. I have completed trainings in Gottman Couples Therapy (Level One), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Counseling for change. I am a member of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association.

I have been married for over 30 years, and have 7 living children and 3 more in heaven. When I am not working, I am probably spending time with my family as well as our local Catholic community.
